ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Submission of abstracts will be open from October to December 2024.

Abstracts

Researchers wishing to present an oral or poster contribution at the conference are requested to submit a short text abstract. It should be a concise summary of your research, results, and conclusions. Abstracts should be no longer than about 300 words, without any figure or table, but an optional graphical abstract may be submitted (see below). Abstract submission will open in early October and close in December 2024.

Abstracts should be prepared using the provided MS-Word template or TeX templatePlease do not change the formatting of the provided template (i.e. margins, fonts, spacings, etc.). Abstracts should be submitted in pdf format, as well as in source (tex or docx) format. Only the pdf version will be used for reviewing. (Source files will be used later only if minor reformatting is required.) 

Graphical abstracts

An optional graphical abstract may be submitted separately at the same time as the text abstract. Graphical abstracts must be self-contained (i.e. no caption). Standard image formats are accepted (e.g. jpg, png, jpeg, tiff, pdf) and the file size should not exceed 2MB. Graphical abstracts will appear below the abstract text in the abstract booklet. The best graphical abstracts submitted by students will qualify for awards.

Posters

Authors with an accepted poster contribution will be requested to send their poster in pdf format by June 1st, 2025. The conference organizers will take care of printing the poster and put it on display for the poster session. The best posters will qualify for awards. Any poster received after June 1st, 2025 will not enter the poster prize competition.

Proceedings

Authors with an accepted talk or poster who wish to do so will have the opportunity to submit a full-length article in the conference proceedingsFull papers for accepted contributions will be due by February 2025. Articles will be peer-reviewed to ensure they meet international quality standards. Accepted articles will be published as a special issue of IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, and be available online via full open access

Article processing fees of 85€ per article will be charged individually to the corresponding author at the time of registration.
